The Beechcraft King Air is one of the most popular air-ambulance platforms in the world and for good reason. The spacious cabin allows for a patient to travel with a full medical crew and one companion. A noteworthy characteristic of this aircraft is its ability to land on short and unimproved runways which allows for landing as close as possible to the patient's location and/or destination. The King Air 100 is most appropriate for patient transfers over shorter distances though it does offer an impressive range for its class.
