Clinical Excellence in the Air

Our flight crews are among the most highly trained in the industry, consisting of a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) on every mission. All clinical providers at Optimum AIR bring a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in hospital intensive care units (ICUs), Emergency Departments, or 911 emergency response systems. Many have advanced certifications in critical care transport and trauma.
In addition to our standard two-person team, we incorporate specialized clinicians based on the patient’s acuity and transport requirements. These may include:

Bedside-to-Bedside Continuity of Care

We believe that seamless care begins at the patient's bedside and doesn’t end until they are safely transferred to the receiving facility’s care team. Every Optimum AIR transport follows a comprehensive bedside-to-bedside model, which includes:
 

• Collaboration with the referring medical team to establish a pre-transport care plan

• Continuous care in-flight by providers with full patient access

• Real-time clinical interventions when necessary
