AIRCRAFT

KING AIR 200

OVERVIEW

The Beechcraft King Air is one of the most popular air-ambulance platforms in the world and for good reason. The spacious cabin allows for a patient to travel with a full medical crew and one companion. A noteworthy characteristic of this aircraft is its ability to land on short and unimproved runways which allows for landing as close as possible to the patient's location and/or destination. The King Air 200 is most appropriate for patient transfers over shorter distances though it does offer an impressive range for its class.  Currently, we also operate our King Air B200 with dual pilots. While dual pilots are not required for this aircraft, we elected to operate this way to enhance safety and awareness during our patient transports. A second pilot in the cockpit allows for increased situational awareness and can help mitigate fatigue and other risk factors
